The Education Specialist Intern Program is accepting applicants for our Education Specialist Practicum Supervisors interest list.


  • Demonstrate compassion, flexibility, reflection, effective communication, organizational management, facilitation, collaboration, and accountability to ensure that all program requirements are met both by the program and program candidates;
  • Experience and knowledge in addressing inequitable practices, examining biases, and developing inclusive, culturally responsive educators;
  • Demonstrate the ability to utilize contemporary strategies and mixed media technology in their instruction;
  • Experience facilitating a variety of instructional strategies and learning activities;
  • Experience with adult learning theories;
  • Experience supporting and coaching substitute and/or new teachers

Education Specialist Intern Program Application: Instructional Facilitators for the Intern Program support Education Specialist intern teachers as they teach full time and earn a preliminary teaching credential. The RCOE Intern Program is offered in mild/moderate and moderate/severe and has both online and face-to-face instructor opportunities.

Please note: Instructional Facilitators for the Education Specialist Intern Program must...

  • hold a current life or clear general or special education credential.
  • have three (3) or more years of successful teaching experience, preferably in the content area of instruction.
  • deliver instructional content in an online delivery format.
  • hold a master's degree.
  • submit a resume with application.
  • submit two letters of recommendation with application.
  • indicate course preference/specialty area within submitted application (click here to see offered courses).
  • upload three resources and a sample lesson plan to submitted application.
